Tough woofers
The SPX-17PRO system includes two 6-3/4" woofers, two 1-1/4" ring radiator tweeters, and two outboard crossover networks. The woofer's hybrid glass fiber cone uses a unique cross-ribbed design that increases stiffness and controls resonance, contributing to the speaker's exceptional clarity. A Natural Butyl Rubber surround provides a solid suspension for the woofer cone, while the cast aluminum frame eliminates flexing and unwanted vibrations. A patent-pending cooling system ensures these woofers will play whatever you throw at them, even in the most extreme conditions.
High-end tweeters
The ring radiator tweeter, the same type you'll find in high-end home audio speakers, offers less mass than a typical dome tweeter, and its linear motion results in extremely smooth response. The tweeter's built-in wave guide helps to disperse the high frequencies more effectively. You can adjust the angle of the tweeter for best results in your listening position.
Crossovers with phase adjustments
The external crossover includes 6 phase settings that optimize performance when your components aren't mounted close together. The 4-level tweeter control adjusts high-frequency output for the perfect sound for your vehicle.
